Perform a pre-operation check each time you use the ZOOM to make sure it is in good operating condition. Do not use the ZOOM if it appears to be damaged or otherwise not fully functional. Failure to inspect or properly maintain the ZOOM increases the possibility of an accident or equipment damage.
1 PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST
Complete this checklist before every ride:
- Check tire pressure: 22-29 psi/150-200 kPa/1.5-2.0 bar.
- Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or damage.
- Check that both batteries are charged and battery connectors are fully inserted.
- Test both brake handles before riding to confirm they engage properly.
- Check that the parking brake engages and disengages correctly.
- Inspect the frame and wheels for visible damage.
- Ensure the seat and foot rest are securely adjusted and locked in position.
- Ensure the handlebar column latching pin is locked and the column is fully secured.
- Check that all lights are functional: position lights (front/rear), driving light (high/low beam), brake light, and turn signals.
- Ensure the key switch is OFF except when riding.
2 WEEKLY INSPECTION SERVICE
In addition to the pre-ride checklist, perform the following checks on a weekly basis or before extended use:
- Clean the ZOOM with a moist brush or sponge; keep running water away from the wheel centers and batteries and never use a pressure washer.
- Inspect brake pads for wear or damage and replace if needed.
- Check brake discs for damage and confirm there are no brake fluid leaks.
- Check tire pressure and inflate to 22-29 psi/150-200 kPa/1.5-2.0 bar as needed.
- Check all bolts, nuts, and screws for tightness using metric size tools.
- Inspect battery connectors and cables for wear or damage.
- Inspect chargers for damage to the cord, plug, or enclosure before use.
- Inspect the frame for cracks or damage.
- Check the seat and foot rest mounting hardware and adjustment holes.
- Store the ZOOM indoors at room temperature, clean and dry, when not in use.
